Nokia 6111 - Looks Small, Acts Big!

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Bryan_Gian]Bryan Gian Nokia 6111 is a compact slider phone that can be easily slipped into pockets and small purses. Though a little chubby as well, the gadget measures just 84 x 47 x 23 mm and weighs 92 g. The Nokia 6111 has a pleasing black and silver design, that comes along with a minimalistic bend. Like all slider phones, the front of Nokia 6111 is dominated by a display. Below which is situated the navigation buttons. A metallic silver square acts like a navigation keys, while the four other colour coded buttons flank on either side. This colour scheme of the Nokia 6111 adds a distinct charm and class to the handset. The Nokia 6111 slide opens to reveal a neatly etched keypad. The keypad comes with round keys and are slightly smaller. Nokia 6111 is a tri-band GSM phone and is packed with more features than other phones in this range. The phone has a 1 Megapixels camera, with 6x digital zoom, and is better than Motorola SLVR L7 and the Sony Ericsson Z520i. One can take still as well video photography with Nokia 6111. For music bugs, the Nokia 6111 also acts as a media player. With music the handset can play MP3, MP4 or AAC files, and with video it can view 3GPP, H.264 video, MPEG-4 and AMR. The only catch here is that Nokia 6111's usefulness as a media device is limited by its small 23MB onboard memory. Further, it also features a radio, voice recorder and has Java-capabilities. When it comes to ergonomics, Nokia 6111 might not be a flashy mobile, nonetheless the gadget does not disappoint. The Nokia 6111 operates on GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz networks, and offers up EDGE, GPRS and HSCSD for high-speed data transfers. It features Push to Talk, host of messaging services and Bluetooth, Infrared and USB via PopPort as connectivity options. Bryan gian is a Expert Autor. Kids and Spice

By Kit Heathcock Back in the mists of time, once long ago, we were adventurous cooks and eaters, taking in everything from the spices of the Orient to European starchy comfort food in the course of a days eating. Then we were hit by a culinary upheaval in our lives: our children, one by one, arrived. Our first child agreeably downed mild chicken korma baby puree and we celebrated. Our children would be cosmopolitan in tastes, we would not have to adjust our eating patterns to accommodate fads and fussiness, or so we deluded ourselves. Until he was nearly two he ate everything we offered him, then something in our smug demeanour must have alerted him that he was missing out on a developmental stage. One by one he eliminated most of his previously favourite foods from his diet, until for a while he subsisted on plain boiled rice, plain yoghurt, apples, bananas, potatoes and bread with an occasional piece of plain meat. Note the emphasis on plain! No sauces were permitted to enliven the pure unadulterated ingredients. No foods might touch each other on the plate. Thus began the downhill slope into nursery food. While we still had only the one child, I managed to cook us a separate adult meal in the evenings. When the second and third joined us I gave up the struggle. One meal would have to do the whole family from now on. No more clearing up a childrens meal only to start cooking again for the two of us, just when I felt like collapsing on the sofa. For a few years I have managed to feed us all with a repertoire of traditional English dishes, most of which had their roots in the nursery. Stews and casseroles were tolerated, as I could pick pieces of meat out for the kids, stir-fries likewise. The favourite was roast chicken with roast potatoes and maybe a tiny floret of broccoli for a bit of colour. The once over-flowing spice rack, however, became a sad dusty relic of past flavours. Out of date cumin and turmeric faded into insipidity. My husband occasionally would express a wistful hope of something spicy. Memories of Thai restaurants in London tantalised our dormant taste buds. Recently therefore I have tried to reintroduce a little spice into our gastronomic lives. Nigel Slaters Moroccan chicken recipe, with a slightly reduced amount of spices, made it past the flavour censors. Another recipe I tried from Madhur Jaffreys Cookbook was rejected. Reading through her book, which has languished unexplored on our shelves for years, I found a few vegetable recipes that were simple enough to do alongside a main meal and inspiration struck. A spicy vegetable side dish for the parents. Now I can feed us all the vegetables that the kids wont eat. Aubergine/eggplant, spinach, peppers with a variety of authentic Indian spice combinations, liven up our anaesthetised palates and embellish the rather dull, plain meals that are all that the children will accept. Maybe one day theyll be sufficiently intrigued to try the grown-ups special dish and then we will take the first step towards the cosmopolitan family gastronomy that we once so optimistically hoped for. Here is Madhur Jaffreys recipe that broke new culinary ground for our family recently. Neelas Aubergine and Potato 4 tbs vegetable oil
tsp whole black mustard seeds
5oz/140g peeled diced potatoes ( in/1 cm cubes)
4oz/115g dice aubergine ( in/1 cm cubes)
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
tsp ground turmeric
1/8 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
tsp salt
1 tbs fresh green coriander (optional) Heat the oil in an 8-10in/20-25cm pot with a lid, over a medium-high flame. When hot put in the mustard seeds. As soon as they start to pop (just a few seconds) put in the potato and aubergine. Stir once. Add the coriander, cumin, turmeric, cayenne and salt. Stir and fry for one minute. Add 3 tbs water, cover immediately with a tight fitting lid, turn heat to low and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Stir every now and again. If the vegetable seem to catch at the bottom of the pan add another tablespoon of water. Garnish with the chopped fresh coriander if you like. I already had all the spices except the mustard seeds and it was good even without them, but I will try and add them to my new revived spice rack, as they feature in a lot of her recipes, that I hope to try in my newly global kitchen. Eastern Vegetarian Cooking and Madhur Jaffreys more recent World Vegetarian are both an excellent resource for vegetarians or those wishing to cut down on meat, as so much of Indian and Eastern cooking is vegetarian by tradition. Endless ways have evolved over a thousand years of making the same vegetable take on new taste sensations and interest. My mouth is watering now in anticipation of trying her bread recipes. I havent had Naan bread since we left London and came to a farm far away from the delights of takeaways and ethnic restaurants. Now our kitchen is the take-away joint and I am the chef in residence, changing hats as I metamorphasise from Chinese stir-fry chef armed with wok to old fashioned English cook producing meat and two veg, boiled cabbage and all (not really!) and back to Indian curry joint, except as Madhur Jaffrey writes, curry powder was an invention of the English colonials nostalgic for spicy food of India and no true Indian cook would consider it for an instant, mixing their spices as appropriate for each particular dish. So my kitchen can now become fragrant with cardamon and coriander..onward to more global culinary travel! Solving the Fat Loss Equation

By Karen Sessions Playing the numbers game when trying to lose weight can get quite tricky if you don't pay attention to all the signs. When you venture on a fat loss program, results can come in many forms and you can be blindsided if you don't take all factors into account. Scale Weight
While scale weight is a clue as to whether the program is working in your favor or not, you have to keep in mind that the scale is a measuring device. It is unable to distinguish between fat, muscle, bone, and water. Your weight can very from day to day due to the amount of carbohydrates you eat, the amount of water you drink, how much you sweat, and so forth. Changes on the scale dont mean you are gaining or losing fat. It's simply a guide that should be taken with a grain of salt. Body Fat Percentage
Your body fat percentage is your muscle to fat ratio. For ladies, a body fat percentage in the range of 12 to 24% is acceptable. Body fat testing is merely a guide, to let you know if you are moving in the right direction or not. There may or may not be changes weekly or there may be minor fluctuations. This does not mean the program is not working. Some can lose body fat weekly and it may take 3 to 4 weeks on others. Concern should arise if the scale and the body fat percentage increases weekly. Classification Female Male
Competition Condition 6-12% 3-7%
Athletic 12-18% 8-13%
Normal 19-24% 14-17%
Borderline 25-31% 18-25%
Obese 32% + 26% + So what does a low body fat percentage really give you? Bragging rights. Many ladies are muscular, lean, and hard, yet their body fat is in the 14% range and they are unhappy because they want whatever glorious percentage they have set in their mind to be prefect. If you look phenomenal at 14% and not preparing for a contest, why go any lower? Dipping too low can cause hormonal imbalances and other problems. Getting below 12% can run the risk of amenorrhea. Clothing
Many times, your first week or two on a fat loss program will prove results in your clothing before the scale or other measuring devices. You may find that scale weight stays the same, but your clothing fits more loosely. This too is progress. Clothing can tell you a lot on how well your program is or is not working. If you see a dramatic change in how clothes fit and the scale doesn't show any progress, then that does not mean the program is not working. Progress is simply showing its face in a different way. This is a sign of removing water retention and some fat loss. Mirror
The mirror can tell you a lot as to whether your program is beneficial or not. While the mirror is a useful tool, be cautious of mirror in gyms and diet clinics. They tend to have distorted mirrors many times and may make you appear heavier than you actually are. This is how they trap you into renewing your membership. It's indirect and dishonest, but they get away with it nonetheless. Also, mirrors in clothing stores have bad lighting and can also make you appear distorted. It's best to find one good mirror and use that as your reflective guide. Compliments
If you are receiving compliments from others on your body transformation, then that is useful feedback to let you know that the program is working. Many times you may think it's not working because the numbers are not moving the way you had hoped or as fast as you wish, but what others see and say can tell you exactly what's going on. Such positive feedback should be used as a motivating tool to enhance your program to ignite even more changes. Now that you know that you don't have to make it so scientific and become a mathematician, you can rest easy and look for progress in other forms. Learn the Dos and Dont of Fasting

By Foras Aje Though it has been labeled the Greatest Remedy; the physician within,
Fasting, being a radical practice, must be undertaken with care for success. Now, there are several types of fasts one can choose from, and they are all more or less effective. They include 1. The complete water fast: This, admittedly, should be conducted with extreme caution or in a specialized sanitarium if undertaken more than 3 days. 2. The Juice Fast: This is much easier for the general populace and can be undergone as long as you feel like it. 3. The Fruit Fast: This, well, is really not a fast per sebut when one lives exclusively on SEASONAL ORGANIC fruits for days on endmeaning mono meals (2 at the most ) of only one kind of fruit say Apples in Fall, Melons in summer for a week plus, you will be bound to see the benefits. Now, that weve discussed the types, lets go over the dos and dont of fasting for success with them. This way, anyone interested in engaging in a fast could succeed with it. The Do's When using fasting for a body detox cleanse, ensure that you do the following: 1. Get as Much Fresh Air as possible. 2. Get as Much Rest as Possible 3. Start off the day with some unflavored fresh lemonade. 4. End each day with a herbal laxative Tea. The Don'ts 1. DON'T use microwaves...at all. 2. Avoid negative mass media and suggestions. 3. Don't overexert yourself, at least not till you feel up to physical activities 4. Don't break a fast with just any food...fruits are your best bet. Though not a conclusive list of the dos and donts of fasting, the tips above are perhaps the most important ones. Furthermore, be well informed that when undertaken properly, youd not only lose the undesired weight, but youd be well on your way to a cleaner and better you in no time. Choosing the Perfect Wedding Location

By Diane Winter As you dream of your wedding day, you try to picture the perfect wedding location. The mood being romantic and everyone having a good time is what you hope to experience on your big day. There are different ways to find the perfect wedding location to make your wedding day extra special. Some people end up choosing a location where they have previously attended a wedding, other people choose a location where they have spent a lot of time over the years, some people pick a place that they have heard about through other people, and still others choose a place that they have never before seen, but found after a lot of searching. Some important things to keep in mind when picking the perfect wedding location are the price of renting the location, the size of the location and how many seats will be available, the ambiance of the place, whether they have a dance floor, and what services are offered at the location. Another thing to think about is whether you want to separate locations for the ceremony and reception. If you are having a church wedding, you can choose a place where you can have the reception at the church's banquet hall or you could have the reception at an entirely different location. When having a wedding outside of a church, you can often have the ceremony and the reception in the same room. Often if the season is appropriate, you could decide to have an outdoor ceremony with the reception at a nearby tent. When it comes to price of the perfect wedding location, you need to have a budget in mind as you search. That way if something is out of your budget, you can immediately cross it off the list. This will be a huge help since there may be numerous locations that you are considering. If something is over the price you can afford, but not too far off, consider trying to renegotiate the price. You may find that you can get this perfect wedding location for a much lower price. The size of the perfect wedding location needs to be reasonable for the number of guests you are expecting. The first thing to keep in mind is that typically about half to two-thirds of the invited guests will attend. Your wedding location needs to be large enough to accommodate this number of people, yet small enough so that the place doesn't appear empty. Having too large a location will take away from the intimate atmosphere that you are trying to create. If you are looking for a perfect wedding location that has the capability of catering your reception, you will want to take this into consideration when choosing a location. Also ask whether they have a band or DJ that they typically work with. Some wedding locations will even decorate the place for you, which may end up saving you quite a bit on decorations and flowers. Basically, you will want to ask about all the services that they offer at each possible wedding location. Although it may feel like you have a lot of work to do to find the perfect wedding location, know that it is out there and you can have the wedding that you have always dreamed of. Diane Winter writes articles that gives you a lot of tips and ideas on choosing the best honeymoon and wedding locations. Check out her website to learn more on how to make your wedding to your dream wedding, about wedding invitations, bridesmaid dresses and beautiful places to get married. Fitness Resolution 2006: The New Rules of Training

By Todd Scott Fitness Resolution 2006: The New Rules of Training Youve seen those amazing before and after pictures of men and women completely re-vamping their bodies in as little as twelve to fifteen weeks, right? Believe me, their success has less to do with their discipline and more to do with their training program, so dont let the I Cant bug hit you square between the eyes in 2006. Use these training methods to transform your body into a fat-melting furnace in record time. 1. Focus on Compound Movements: This is a multi-joint movement consisting of more than 2 joints and using several muscles at the same time. Compound movements use more energy than single joint movements such as a bicep curl, therefore burn more calories. The squat is a great example of a compound movement as the movement consists of the ankle, knee, and hip. 2. Use Combination Lifts to save time and increase your metabolism by working more than one muscle group within a single movement. The concept is simple, combine 2 or more movements into one exercise. Each single lift is performed one after another. In this order perform one rep each: Back squat + shoulder press + lunge (each leg). This equals one rep. Complete 8-10 reps for a total of 3-4 sets. 3. Kick-start fat loss with Circuit Training. Youll move from one exercise to another with 20-45 seconds rest in between. Set up 5-10 stations, each with the appropriate weight for the respective muscle group. Go for time, not reps. Spend 20-60 seconds at each station before resting and moving to the next exercise. Once youve completed the last station, rest 2 minutes and repeat for a total of 3-4 circuits. 4. Maintain a high metabolism through Barbell Complex Training while on a calorie restricted diet. Though barbell complex training is similar to circuit training, reps are counted rather than time (3-10 reps for each exercise), the same weight is used for each exercise, and the exercise selection is dependant upon the strength differences between larger and smaller muscles. Example Barbell Complex: Upright Row to Bicep Curl to Shoulder Press to Good Morning to Squat Push Press to Barbell High Pull. Youll use the same weight and barbell for each exercise, complete 6 reps of the first exercise, then move to the second exercise and so on without rest until all exercises are completed. This is one set. Rest 90 seconds and repeat. Complete 4-6 sets per workout. You can choose one or all of these methods to design your training program. To use all four, rotate training methods on a weekly basis and perform 2-3 workout sessions per week: 3 workout sessions each week performed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Week 1: Compound Movements
Week 2: Combination Lifts
Week 3: Circuit
Week 4: Barbell Complex Todd Scott is a training advisor for Mens Fitness and Muscle & Fitness Hers Magazines and the owner of Results! What Is A Tummy Tuck and Why Do I Need It?

By Rose Lindy A tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a major surgical procedure that is performed to remove excess skin and fat from the stomach and tightens the abdominal muscles. Sometimes, no matter how hard they try, people are not able to get a nice firm abdomen no matter how much the exercise and diet. For this reason, the tummy tuck has become a very popular cosmetic surgery procedure. As with most surgeries, there are different types of tummy tucks available. When you meet with your surgeon or with anyone you are considering to be your surgeon, they should willingly go over the different procedures so you can choose what will be best for your situation. The differences between the various types of tummy tucks are how large the incisions are and how much work needs to be done. For example, a full tummy tuck procedure encompasses the entire abdominal area from the lower rib cage to the top of the pelvis. A mini tummy tuck is a procedure that is done on the abdominal area below the belly button. There is also an endoscopic tummy tuck available. The advantage to this is a very small incision that can be easily concealed and much quicker recovery time. Not everyone will be a candidate for tummy tuck surgery. Good candidates are within 30% of their weight goal. If you are planning on losing a lot more weight you should postpone having a tummy tuck done until you are within 30% of your goal. You should be physically healthy and understand the associated risks involved with the surgery. You need to be able to take the time off from work to heal properly. Understand that in many instances this procedure is not covered by your insurance company so you need to be able to afford the expense. When you meet with your surgeon they will ask many questions and give you a physical examination to determine if a tummy tuck is right for you. When you are looking for a surgeon be sure to do as much research as possible. Try to get referrals from your general practitioner or friends who have had a tummy tuck. Any reputable surgeon will prominently display their certifications for you to see. If the certifications are not easily available you should ask to see them. Choosing the right surgeon is very important so do not rush into anything, but make a careful decision. Go to Rose's site, tummytuckresource.com for more information on tummy tucks. Relationship Advice: The Law of Nagging

By Jeff Herring "Nag, nag, nag." - Clint Eastwood It's common knowledge that no one likes to be nagged. But did you know that nagging is really no fun either? This surprises most people. The spouse that is nagged thinks thinks the nagger stays up late planning ways to nag the next day. The teenager thinks the parents get together and create new ways and subjects on which to nag. The whole cycle and pattern of nagging is painful for both people. It's painful for both is because nagging always results in distance between two people. How to stop the nagging pattern I've rarely seen a situation where one person was being accused of nagging where the other person was not being irresponsible in some way. Nagging is no fun, for the nag-ee or for the nag-er. It takes two people working together to stop the pattern, one to be responsible, and then one to not nag. If you are being nagged, then you need to check out and see if there are areas in which you are being irresponsible in some way. Find the area, clean it up, and there will be no need for nagging. After the nag-ger gets off the floor from falling over in shock, it may take a bit before they get it that they no longer have to nag. Give it a bit a time, the nagging will end. Visit SecretsofGreatRelationships.com for tips and tools for creating and growing a great relationship. The Pill That Kill--Available at a Doctor Near You

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Nathan_Tabor] Nathan Tabor Imagine going to your doctor and being offered a pillnot because you were sick,
or in any danger of becoming sick. Noyoure friendly physician is simply giving
you drugs because youre a woman. If that sounds like a Hitchcock horror story to yoube prepared. Gynecologists
around the country are embarking on a weird medical experiment that could have
serious repercussions for womens health. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has decided it
wont wait for the Food and Drug Administration to approve over-the-counter sales
of the so-called morning after pilla pill which is supposed to help women who are
harboring regret over a sexual encounter the night before. Of course, it doesnt
matter that the FDA is hesitant to give the pills out like candy because it doesnt
want to promote promiscuity among young people. Also, some leading medical
experts say that the morning after pill doesnt just prevent pregnancyit can also
kill a child who has already been conceived in her mothers womb. No, ACOG wont let the facts stand in the way of its misguided idea of scientific
progress. In fact, the gynecologists group employs this fuzzy reasoning for
promoting morning after pill prescriptions: women tend to have sex on weekends.
Maybe women also tend to have beer on Saturday nights. Does that mean their
family doctors should load them up with six packs every time they come in for flu
shots? The fact is, the pro-abortion contingent of ACOG is running scared. Pharmacists
throughout the country have said they dont want to dispense the morning after pill,
also known as emergency contraception, because they have religious and moral
objections to it. The abortionists know that, if they can get women hooked on the
morning after pill, theyll have more support for their agendawhich includes
abortion any time for any reason, anywhere. Its interesting to note that some experts have come to the conclusion that there
really isnt a great demand for the morning after pill. In other words, pharmacies
are not going to go out of business for refusing to stock it. So the only way for big
drug companies to sell the morning after pill and other such concoctions is to
market them directly to doctors. Every time a woman comes into a gynecologists office, ACOG wants the doctor to
offer her advance prescriptions of the morning after pill. But it is apparently not
enough to simply make the offersome women are reporting that their
gynecologists are insisting that they take the prescriptioneven if they say
repeatedly that they dont want it. The doctors urge them, its good for a year!
This kind of scenario makes a mockery out of the phrase pro-choice. In a
situation like this, how can anyone not conclude that pro-choice is really pro-
abortion? Apparently, ACOG sees no reason for gynecologists to inform their patients that the
morning after pill can cause abortionseven if some women have strong moral
objections to abortion. For ACOG, the pill is a simple solution to the estimated 2.7
million unplanned pregnancies that occur each year. But the fact of the matter is, a number of us were the result of unplanned
pregnancies. You dont have to be plannedor even wanted by your natural
parentsin order to make a difference in this world. Every human life is precious
from the moment of conceptionand no dictate from ACOG can change that. Doctors routinely tell pregnant women not to take any medication during their
pregnancies for fear that it will harm their unborn children. If a pregnant woman
cant take an aspirin, how can doctors assume that its safe for her to take the
morning after pill? What if the pill fails and the woman remains pregnant? Or
what if the woman takes the pill when shes already six weeks along? And whats to
prevent the pill from getting into the hands of the womans impressionable 13-
year-old daughter, who sees the pill as a good excuse to hook up with a boy she
barely knows? Will ACOG pay for the girls counseling when she discovers that the
boy who took away her virginity is a stalker or 40 years old? Any doctor who thinks nothing of dispensing a pill that can kill has no place in the
healing arts. Whether an abortion is surgical or chemical, it is still a tragedy for

The Successful Career Woman's Guide to Landing and Keeping a Man!

By Mary Gardner Many, many women I know are self sufficient, successful and capable. They spent many years getting a degree or advanced degree and are now in a very successful and rewarding career. Theyve bought houses, gone on trips and own businesses, theyre beautiful and are amazing human beings.. but they have no idea why they cant get a man to stay!!! Im not talking about the women who dont WANT a man in their life. Theyve been there and done it! Im talking about the woman who WANTS a man, a companion and a friend to share their life with. And I dont mean a gay man! Many of these women are teaching in universities, running businesses or partners in a law firm. Theyre content on the outside, but very much would like to have a man at their side. Theyll NEVER admit it to anyone, because theyre often teased about being single and are always showing up to events with friends and not a companion. Theyre tough on the outside, because theyve had to be. But when they get together with their closest friends, or their coach, they confide in each other and this is what theyve shared: They dont NEED A man.. but they WANT one. Ive learned so many amazing things from being around these women. They are truly incredibly self sufficient and can run their house better than most women I know. But there is one thing they lack and its what I have taught them: Warmth with people and of course.. the all important FLIRTING SKILLS!!! Now before you go and stop reading because I went and wrote something so incredibly basic, let me ask you this: *When did you last make the person you were talking with, feel good about themselves? *When was the last time you let the person you were talking to, know that they were needed? *When was the last time that the person who was talking to you, walked away with a smile on their face? If the answer to any of these questions was I dont remember then that was TOO long ago! If the answer was just yesterday.. then youre doing a good job! Todays world is so busy, that we rush through life just trying to squeeze all of the necessary things in. Often times we dont give the actual people we come in contact with a second look, let alone a thought. When Im working with the people who want to develop warmth in their life the first thing I do is to send them out with a different set of eyes. When they go to the store, their ASSIGNMENT is to greet the people behind the meat counter or cash register and make THEM feel special. How is a person supposed to do THAT you ask? Two days ago, I decided to make Cuban Sandwiches for lunch. So, I went to the 17 year old boy behind the counter and started asking for his recommendations for meat, for condiments, and for cheese. Before you knew it, he was telling me OTHER dishes he wanted to make or had made recently. We were having a terrific conversation and when I left, I told him this: I can guarantee that youre going to make a great husband! When I left, I knew he felt great.. and I did too. Practicing in low risk situation is always the best. So when youre in that situation of really wanting to show a person of the opposite sex that youd like to get to know them BETTER, then youll have LOTS of practice of making a person feel special. Okay, yes, flirting does also involve dressing up a bit, using the long linger of the eyes, glancing sideways at the person you admire and quickly away with a smile, and all of those little things that we can do when we like someone. To some people, these come naturally, but to others, they have to learn them all again. Other suggestions for the ALL IMPORTANT flirting are to briefly touch the man on his arm, laugh at all of his jokes, and keep your body very casual, not so professional, stiff and unrelaxed. Hell REALLY get the drift if you say something like, oh my gosh.. youre so silly while you laugh with him and give him a little push on the arm just for good measure! But the best one is to really make a person feel special and NEEDED. If youre incredibly self sufficient then GREAT. But dont let your being a complete human without a man side of you forget that MEN NEED TO BE NEEDED. They want to feel and BE special to that special woman, and they want to know that to the outside world, youre competent, successful and beautiful but at home? All you need is HIM! Mary Gardner is a communications consultant and coach. She's coached dozens and dozens of women on this topic alone and has spoken nationally about dating and relationships. She enjoys being able to teach powerful women the basic skill of flirting... is able to break it down so it's easy to learn. Marketing Your Direct Sales Business

By Bethany Hizer Marketing your direct sales business is one of the most important steps to success. After all, if you don't have customers, you don't make any money. I've provided a few proven ideas that I've used to market my Passion Parties business and hope that you'll have success following these same ideas. Unfortunately, some of the most effective direct sales marketing methods also take the most time. However, these are all ideas that I've used to achieve great results. Postcards to Friends/Family - One of the easiest and most productive marketing concepts is to identify your core group of friends and business relations. Make a list of 100 people that might be interested in your new business venture then send a quick postcard to each one. At first, you're not trying to sell anything, you just want to let everyone know you begun a new business. Then, when you come into contact with these people over the next few weeks you can follow up. Asking "Did you get my postcard last week?" is a great way to follow up without sounding pushy. Flyers - Perhaps you've seen pamphlets or flyers at the local supermarket or retail store. Most of these advertise vehicles or other items for sales. But, I've had some success by creating flyers with tear-off "discount" stickers that can be used when booking one of my parties. For instance, create a flyer with 10 tear-off tabs offering 10% off the purchase of any item. Many people are enticed by these discount offers. Business Cards - There are still a few situations where the handing out of business cards can be a great way to supplement your business. If you're like most people you probably meet a lot of people during the week with which you're unfamiliar. Waiters and waitresses, retail store employees, fast food workers, and other people of a similar job responsibility are excellent sources for both business leads and potential recruiting efforts. Why are these people such great leads? 1. Business Leads - These people often come into contact with thousands of individuals during the day. If you were able to strike up a friendship you might be able to use your new friend as a potential recruiting tool for your business. Have him or her hand out your business cards to customers they're friendly with. Or, just place a table-top card holder next to the register and let the customers help themselves. 2. Recruiting - Many people in the food and retail industry enjoy working with people and are often looking for ways to make a little extra money. This is because, unfortunately, the reimbursement rate for their services rarely matches their amount of work and responsibility. Suggest that the individual call you to discuss how they could increase their monthly income or possibly even replace their current job. Remember, every person you come into contact with is a potential client or recruit. Hand out your business cards as if they were tickets to future success and sell the opportunity with your confidence. In no time, your phone will be ringing off the hook with interested people. As you can see, it takes time to build a profitable marketing program. However, by using the methods I've provided I'm certain that you'll have a successful direct sales business in no time. What is Canvas Work?

By Jo Kefford Canvas work is the technique of forming stitches on a special open-weave fabric known as canvas. Canvas is constructed if vertical and horizontal threads that are woven together to produce precisely spaced holes between threads. The points at which these threads intersect are known as meshes. All canvas work stitches are worked to make use of the grid-like structure of the canvas. Basically, any canvas work stitch can only go in two directions either diagonally across or parallel to the canvas threads and meshes. The direction of the thread takes is dictated by the kind of stitch that is being worked. Several canvas work stitches only fall in one direction; others require threads to be laid in several directions or even to be crossed over each other. The size of a stitch depends upon two things. One of these is the character of the stitch. Certain of the stitches span only one canvas thread or mesh; other stitches span two or more. Stitch size also depends on the gauge of the canvas that is being used. (The gauge of the canvas is the number of meshes to each one-inch or 2.5 cm of that canvas). The more meshes per one-inch a canvas has, the smaller the stitches worked on it can be. Canvas is available in many gauges; this wide range generally falls into one of two categories Petitpoint (16 or more meshes) or grospoint (fewer than 16 meshes). In general, the smaller the mesh, the more time it will take to complete. However, the smaller stitches are more durable. Jo Kefford has been creating needlework for many years, and loves to encourage others to renew their creative flair. For more top tapestry and canvas work tips, visit http://www.toptapestry.com . Not Happy With Your Nursing Career or Need to Start One? Travel Nurses are in Great Demand!

By Willie Jones If you are a nurse or plan to be one you may want to check out travel nurses. The benefits are huge and the demand for nurses in the United States is in dire need. In the United States the number of young people entering the nursing field has declined, so much so, that it is feared that when the baby boomer nurses, who will soon retire, will put an immense strain on the medical profession. With this great demand come many incentives to entice nurses to relocate, for example: 1) If you are coming from another country, you can be sponsored to obtain visa green cards and a social security number that will allow you to start work immediately. If you have a husband and children, they also can get green cards so they can remain with you and live and work in the States. 2) The agency can assist you with moving expenses and help find a suitable lodging for you and your family. 3) Free dental, health and life insurance are often offered as an incentive, 4) 401Ks with company matches may be offered to you. 5) License and NCLEX reimbursements may be offered to you. 6) Great pay! It helps greatly to have experience in your field because if you do become a travel nurse you can be placed in a new hospital or facility and work in your specialized field immediately. If you are not an experienced nurse then you may want to get that under your belt. Some hospitals want you to contract with them, but if you have any desire to relocate then you may want to pass that up and continue to train for that much needed experience. Some agencies will also place therapists and technicians. If you are the adventurous type of person and want to experience many different facilities then you can be placed for 8 to 13 weeks at a particular place where your accommodations are taken care of for you. If you provide your own accommodations then you can get a generous subsidy for it. You can discuss what type of assignment you want and how long you want to do it and how many facilities you would like to work at. When your assignment is done you may want to consider a permanent residence or you may decide to resume a new assignment at a later date. You will be providing a much needed service, travel to different parts of the country and meet lots of new people. It is an excellent way to find out the opportunities available and what kind of pay range there is and possibly relocating permanently.
